Peter Rabbit

Although this book is tiny in size, the text and the illustrations work wonders in children's literature. There has been to arguments to which the meaning of this book is : whether it be how a little bunny learns his lesson for disobeying his mother, or if it about a little boy who simply goes on an adventure and escapes defeat. Both meanings can be correct it just depends on the readers persepective. What I find most interesting about this book is how we are always on Peter's level. No matter what illustration we choose to look at, we, the readers, are always seeing things through the eyes of Peter the Rabbit. For me personally, I belive the meaning of this book to be a little boys adventure. IN the end I am more than thrilled to see his escaped defeat from Mr. McGregor, and how he learned his own lesson in the end. This is a great story for both children and adults and will always be a classic in children's literature.
