Ameilia Bedelia Goes Camping - Peggy Parish

The Ameilia Bedelia books are such fun and full of entertainment. Amelia, the house maid, is the main character in all the books, she is what makes the book so much fun. Amelia has trouble with her tasks assigned to her, she often does exactly what she is told. Meaning if you tell her to go dry the laundry she is likely to go dry it with a hair dryer!
In this particular book I read, Amelia Bedelia goes Camping, Amelia does the same thing as usual by doing EXACTLY what she is told. It is her first time camping so it is understandable that she gets a little confused. When asked to pitch a tent for her boss, she understands that as throwing it in the bushes, when asked to put the steaks on the grill- she really puts a bundle of steaks on the grill, and when asked to catch fish - she tries catching with her bare hands! It does not take long for Amelia Bedelia to get confused. This crazy misconception that Amelia Bedelia has is what makes the books so much fun for children. Amelia Bedelia is a wonderful series of books that can keep you laughing all day long.
