While growing up one of my favorite television shows was Full House. The huge family, the chaos, I loved it. Therefore, when I discovered that the show had been made into a book I was overjoyed!
Full House Michelle is a series of books written by Cathy East Dubowski, staring michelle and all her thoughts on her family, fun, and the chaos in their lives. The Particular book I chose to read was Full House Michelle, The Substitute teacher. As children, I know me especiially, we loved to use our imagination and pretend we were certain things. Well, in Michelles case, her fantasy comes true! By acident of course! Michelle and her friends love going to school, but htey enjoy it even more when they know a substitute will be taking control of the class. Michell and her friends start to play practical jokes and pranks on their poor sub, until the sub has had enough! The sub quits, leaving Michelle in charge. She quickly comes to realize the difficulty it is to be a teacher.
This book is a great example of a didactive novel and learning your lesson. Not only is it entertaining to read as a child, it is very eye opening. Through Michelles thoughts and experience children can havea better appreciation for their subs!
