Children's Text Books

An assignment I had for my education class required I check out a Children's text book and review it. I realized that the Children's second grade text book was well cultured, diverse, and showed proper education techniques to children. Within the English/ Reading text book, there were an abundant amount of stories. I noticed that each story was told for a reason, whether it had a moral, told how to make something, or spoke of history, all the the stories were educational. In the teacher text it showed the proper way of relaying the message to the children, by asking questions or rephrasing what happened. All in all I believe that this particular text book company, McGrall Hill, did a fantastic job reaching out to the needs of children through literature, and actually made our job as teachers easier.
